Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has accused his TS Galaxy counterpart of instigating the cruel foul on Bongani Zungu as revenge for the incident of Bernard Parker’s injury in October.

The Brazilians secured a routine 3-0 win over the Rockets, with Peter Shalulile scoring a first-half brace to atone for his four-month dry spell.

Sundowns need one more win to secure the DSTV Premiership title.

Rulani said he heard that Ramovic had shown the video of Parker’s injury to his players ahead of their clash. Parker suffered a broken leg last year after a challenge from Zungu in a Carling Knockout Cup encounter.

Zungu came on as a second-half substitute and lasted a mere nine minutes after taking a knock from Orebotse Mongae. The Galaxy was shown a straight red card for his foul.

“I’m disappointed with the tackle on Bongani Zungu because I was told already last night that the coach of the opposition (Ramovic) showed that tackle Bongani Zungu made on Bernard Parker and showed it to players.

“And said don’t forget what Bongani Zungu did and I’m very disappointed because you know these things happen and I can say once again to you, I know for a fact Zungu’s tackle can happen in any other game, anywhere,” Rulani told SuperSport TV after the game.

Rulani says he’s disappointed with Galaxy’s antics of intentionally injuring his players.

“I’ve seen worse tackles, we’ve even got Nasir still out injured, but we’ve forgiven and moved on because it’s a contact sport and now we go and intentionally injure players and we send out these things. It’s a bit disappointing from a professional level.

“But anyway we do the talking on the pitch and the players said to me, Coach, we’ve seen what has been going on in the media, don’t worry we’ll sort it out on the pitch and I’m very proud of them and I wanna thank them also,” Rulani added.
