Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng lamented the team’s poor start in their 4-0 win over Hungry Lions in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 at Orlando Stadium.
Saleng scored one goal in an impressive performance that earned him Man of the Match honors.
The Buccaneers led through a Mohaneng own goal in the 14th minute before scoring three times in the second half, with Tshegofatso Mabasa being the brace hero.
“We didn’t play our normal game in the first half. But we managed to get an early goal, even though it was an own goal. We managed to play our normal football in the second half. So, we pressed them high and created more chances,” Saleng told SuperSport TV.

Saleng further hailed the club’s supporters for their huge turnout at Orlando.
“We love the support from our fans; they must always support us. They always support during bad times, and they are with us even during good times,” added Saleng.
Bucs will return to the DStv Premiership with a tie against Sekhukhune United on the 30th of March.
