Real Madrid has reportedly reached an ‘agreement’ with Alphonso Davies for him to join Los Blancos at the end of the season.
It has been the most talked-about transfer since the Kylian Mbappe saga, indicating that Alphonso Davies will likely join the French forward in the Spanish capital at the end of the season.
Davies has 18 months left on his contract, meaning that any buyers would acquire him for a reduced price if he decides not to extend his stay in Munich.
Despite having a very successful time at Bayern and winning the league every season he has played there, things have been very different in the Bayern changing room this season, and there have been numerous rumors of players being open to leaving, including captains Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich.
The Davies issue seems to be developing the fastest, with Real reportedly striking while the iron is hot. According to Spanish columnist Matteo Moretto, Los Blancos have reached out to Davies’ camp and agreed on personal terms for the left-back to move to Madrid next season.
This move will add incredible depth to the Madrid squad, as they have numerous options for the left-back role (Garcia, & Mendy) even if one is sold. The blistering pace of Davies, coupled with that of Mbappe and Vinicius on Madrid’s left side, is surely a nightmare for any defender to imagine.
Before that becomes a reality, however, Real will hope to initiate talks with Bayern as soon as possible. The chances are good for Los Blancos, as Bayern surely wouldn’t want a repeat of the David Alaba saga, where they refused to sell him until he was out of contract, subsequently joining Real on a free transfer.
