Nigeria have confirmed that star striker Victor Osimhen has not travelled with the team to Bouake due to abdominal discomfort.
The striker is a doubt for the semifinal tie against South Africa on Wednesday.
Osimheni (25) has scored twice and assisted two goals in the AFCON so far, having played in all five games for the Super Eagles.
The reigning African Footballer of the Year is a vital player in Jose Peseiro’s squad.

“Osimhen did not however make the trip as a result of an abdominal discomfort. Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him.
“If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5pm.” read a statement.
