The Premier League returns with yet another round of exciting fixtures this weekend for matchweek 14. In our top picks of the fixtures, Arsenal hosts Wolves, Newcastle faces Manchester United, Brighton visits Chelsea, and Manchester City awaits Tottenham.

Here’s a preview of the action coming your way.

Saturday | Arsenal vs Wolves | 17:00

Arsenal has the chance to extend its lead at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at home on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners have started this season in fine form, leading the league standings by a point. They will fancy their chances against a Wolves side that is in the bottom half of the table and struggling with inconsistency. However, Wolves have proved to be capable of pulling off a big result, but it would take a lot for them to beat a resolute Arsenal side.

Prediction –  Straight win for Arsenal.

Saturday | Newcastle United vs Man United | 22:00

Newcastle and Manchester United will both be looking to stay within touching distance of the top 4 when they face off at St. James’ Park in Saturday’s late kick-off. The Magpies will feel confident facing an inconsistent Man United side at home, having only lost 1 of their 9 league matches. Beating Manchester United will prove to be no easy task, however, as United has been on an upward trajectory in the league, winning 5 of their last 6 matches.

Prediction – This one is a lot harder to call, but I see both teams scoring in this match.

Sunday | Chelsea vs Brighton | 16:00

In the English capital, Brighton will be hoping to keep their top 4 hopes alive with a win against Chelsea, which would bring them within touching distance of a Champions League spot. Although Chelsea recently beat Brighton in the EFL Cup, Brighton will be motivated by their performances against Chelsea in recent times, losing only twice to them in 7 games in the league. The Blues will be hoping to bounce back quickly after a humbling defeat against Newcastle last week.

Prediction – I’m expecting  a very open game with lots of chances, definitely 2.5 goals or more.

Sunday | Man City vs Tottenham | 18:30

On Sunday’s match of the day, Tottenham faces a daunting trip to the Etihad Stadium. As tough as a trip to Manchester City may be, Spurs will certainly be boosted by the likely return of their midfield duo Yves Bissouma and James Maddison. Maddison has been in superb form this season and has proven pivotal to Postecoglou’s side. Both City and Spurs will be hoping to keep the heat on Arsenal at the top of the league and keep their title charges going.

Prediction – City will prove too strong for Spurs at the Etihad Stadium. Man City straight win.
