Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced a 23-man squad for this month’s FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Benin and Rwanda.

Al Ahly’s Percy Tau, Golden Arrows’ Bradley Cross, Mamelodi Sundowns’ Thapelo Maseko, Stellenbosch’s Jayden Adams and Polokwane City’s Oswin Appollis are among the notable inclusions.

Burnley’s Lyle Foster and St Louis City’s Njabulo Blom have been excluded.

South Africa drew with Eswathini and Ivory Coast last month.

They have been pooled with Nigeria, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Benin in group C for the World Cup qualifiers.

Bafana Bafana will host Benin in Durban on 18 November. They will travel to Butare for 21 November’s fixture against Rwanda.
