United Arab Pro League side Al Wahda has terminated Pitso Mosimane’s contract.
The club confirmed the news on Friday after weeks of speculation surrounding Mosimane’s future.
“Al-Wahda terminates its contract with Pitso Mosimane by mutual consent,” the statement read.
“Al Wahda Football Club Company announces that it has reached an agreement with South African technical director Pitso Mosimane to terminate the contract by mutual consent between the two parties.
“The management of Al Wahda Football Club Company decided to appoint Mr. Arno Buitenweg as coach of the first team during the coming period, wishing him success.”
Mosimane took over Al Wahda on 1 July but has had some mixed results since the start of the 2023/2024 season.
Wahda sit in fifth place, five points behind leaders Al Ain after seven UAE league matches.
