Man United midfielder Scott McTominay insists they “must secure a victory” in Saturday’s English Premier League fixture against Fulham after their recent struggles in the Premier League and has pleaded for more unity at Old Trafford while they are going through a rough patch.

The Red Devils haveslipped to eighth position in the EPL standings, having won five and lost five matches this season.

“It’s not quite coming together at the moment, and sometimes, that’s football,” said McTominay.

“I believe that, for us in that dressing room, we must remain united and maintain a clear focus. We can’t allow ourselves to become too emotional about everything happening around us. We need to block out the distractions.

“Everyone is aware that we’re going through a challenging phase right now. Staying together is the most crucial aspect.”

Manager Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, has confirmed that Manchester United will be without midfielder Casemiro for the clash with Fulham.

Casemiro sustained an injury during this week’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

“We’ll need to wait 24 hours, but I believe he’s definitely unavailable for Saturday,” ten Hag stated.

“He picked up an injury just before half-time, which forced us to substitute him.”
