Aphiwe Dyantyi has been named in the Sharks’ starting XV for the United Rugby Championship fixture against Ospreys in England, scheduled for this Friday.
Dyantyi, who earned 13 Test match caps between 2018 and 2019, joined the Sharks earlier this year.
According to a statement from the Sharks, head coach John Plumtree has made four changes to last week’s lineup. He is giving Dylan Richardson his first start of the season, with a jersey swap at the hooker position with Kerron van Vuuren. Coenie Oosthuizen returns to the side after starting in week one, taking over from Hanro Jacobs at tighthead prop. Sikhumbuzo Notshe is coming in as the eighthman, and Phepsi Buthelezi will shift to the flank, replacing Vincent Tshituka.

In the backline, there is only one change, with Aphiwe Dyantyi making his first start in place of Marnus Potgieter on the wing.
Coach Plumtree has been vocal about his desire for the team to play an attacking brand of rugby. After the first two rounds, he will be looking for further evolution in the team’s playing style that can excite the fans and lead to more tries, ultimately resulting in a winning style of rugby.
The Sharks are currently in 15th position in the 16-team standings of the United Rugby Championship, having suffered two successive defeats.
