Nkululeko Mcuma

This is an interesting matchup for many reasons, one of which is that the two nations played against each other just before the World Cup, and the Flying Fijians came out on top.

Since that somber day at Twickenham for the English, they have gone on to win all their games and finish at the top of Pool D. I doubt many English supporters will be too bothered by the style of play at this point; only the result will matter at the end of 80 minutes.

Both teams have had at least one sub-par performance in the Pool Stage, and neither team can afford for that to happen again. Fiji will want to go back to what they know, which is dynamic attacking rugby. I think it gives them the best chance of winning; however, balance will always be needed to some degree at the highest level of international rugby.

Steve Borthwick has a big decision with the return of captain Owen Farrell. Whether he starts at 10 or 12, or even at all, will be interesting to see given the form of George Ford. Judging by the disjointed performance in the 18-17 win against Samoa, chances are that only one of the two will start, and they will don the number 10 jersey.

Key Players for England: George Ford, Tom Curry, Manu Tuilagi, and Courtney Lawes.

Key Players for Fiji: Levani Botia, Josua Tuisova, Semi Radradra, and Lekima Tagitagivalu.

Prediction: England by less than 7.
